tsunami
I live about 20 ft. from the water at high tide. Fortunately said water is not the Pacific Ocean, but the Puget Sound. This morning, the Olympic peninsula protected my island and the rest of the islands in the Sound, from approaching tsunami waves. Of course, the waves were reportedly 4 ft. tall when they hit Oregon and Washington, but if my home were located on the other side of the peninsula, I would have been flooded. I’m grateful to have escaped such misfortune.
My thoughts and prayers go to the people of Japan and Hawaii. I can’t imagine what they are going through right now.
